We began creating hypertufa planters in the year 2000!!!. Our first hypertufa planter was made as a weekend project in a recycled cardboard box. At the time we thought it turned out pretty well, and since we still have it around would still say it turned out well.
One project became several, then a hobby, and gifts for friends and family, became them coming back for more to give to their friends and family. And now we had to charge a few bucks for time and materials. .
A few months into this hobby, we took a SUV load of our hypertufa planters to the local farmers market. Whoa! We sold out and were astonished! It was an amazing feeling to have people come up to us and admire the planters we made, and pay money for them too!
We have grown into a self sustaining business and still love seeing the reactions people have when they first see our work. We know you will enjoy your first piece of Hypertufa Garden Art from Farmbrook Designs/CMH Designs, too!
